The Municipality of Strovolos announces that, as part of the ongoing upgrade of services at the Glafkos Clerides Municipal Sports Centre, bookings for the tennis and futsal courts will now be made through the Playtomic platform.

Users can download the Playtomic mobile application (available for Android and iOS) or make their booking online at https://playtomic.com.

Please note that the Playtomic platform applies a small service fee to cover its operating costs.

The new booking procedure will take effect on Monday, 13 October 2025.

This upgrade was introduced following suggestions from court users, as the platform offers greater ease of use, speed, and transparency, while providing convenient access to court reservations through modern digital tools.

Bookings for the new padel and basketball courts are also managed through the Playtomic platform.

For further information or assistance, the staff of the Municipal Sports Centre is available at 22318358.

Tennis coaches are reminded that they may reserve or use the courts during the following days and times:

• Monday – Friday: 6:00 – 19:00
• Weekends: 6:00 – 22:00

Strovolos Municipality announces that part of the athletics track at the Municipal Sports Centre of Strovolos in Korytsas Street, near the park of Agios Demetrios, will be closed due to improvement works, from Thursday, March 7, 2024.

The rest of the centre’s facilities (tennis, futsal and outdoor fitness equipment) will remain in operation.

The first phase of improving the centre’s facilities is underway, with the aim of providing better quality services to citizens.

More specifically, the purpose of the improvement is to make the centre’s infrastructure modern, accessible, with a reduced energy footprint and the use of smart city applications.

The improved centre will include, in addition to better existing infrastructure (tracks, tennis courts, futsal courts), new basketball courts, a new athletics track, a new tennis court and, one more innovation, two padel courts.

A new refreshment room and new parking areas will be created while the energy footprint of all activities will be reduced, with the inclusion of circular economy practices and investment in renewable energy sources.
