The Strovolos Municipality is happy to announce the re-opening of the Sports Centre after the completion of the works on site.

Infrastructure
MUNICIPAL SPORTS CENTRE

The Municipal Sports Centre was created in 1991 next to the Ayios Demetrios park, between the Makarios Hospital and the English School, in 20 Koritsas street, 2012 Strovolos.

It has four futsal pitches, four tennis courts, a track (ceramic powder), eight outdoor fitness instruments, washrooms-changing rooms, one administration office, etc.

In the context of the upgrading of the facilities of the Athletic Center, it is planned to install a series of instruments of callisthenic gymnastics, to build a basketball stadium, along with a small multipurpose space and one more tennis court with seatings.

The Sports Centre operates under the supervision of caretakers working shifts.

Saturday & Sunday 9:00 – 22:00

Charges and instructions for using the Courts

For the futsal courts the price is
€30 per court per hour

Monday – Friday from 9:00 – 19:00
and Saturday & Sunday from 9:00 – 22:00

€50 per court per hour,
Monday – Friday from 19:00 – 22:00

For the tennis courts the price is €10 per court per hour.

The track and the outdoor fitness instruments are free
for the public and can be used without any charge.

The sport centre users are kindly requested to follow the regulations and to comply with the indications of the caretakers, to avoid damaging the facilities and to respect the green areas and keep all the spaces clean.

Sports Academy

The football academy of the Strovolos Municipality was founded in 2011 and its philosophy is to teach the basic principles of football in a very friendly and non-competitive environment, in which all children can play and enjoy football in its purest form, promoting healthy competition.
Great importance is given in cultivating children’s moral values.
The academy hosts children from ages 6 to 12 years old.

Regulations: The entry fee is €40.00 per month.

If two siblings participate the cost is €52.00 per month
If three siblings participate the cost is €72.00 per month
If four siblings participate the cost is €80.00 per month
For large families there is an additional discount of 10%

Events

Each year at the facilities of the Athletic Center the following events are organized:
a 5 km running race in the framework of Cyprus Independence celebrations,
tennis tournaments, futsal tournaments and other events in cooperation with schools, etc.
